The volume of silkworm cocoon harvesting in Turkmenistan for 2021 has been determined

Silkworm breeders of Turkmenistan will have to harvest 2.1 thousand tons of silkworm cocoons in 2021. The largest share in this volume is in the Lebap region 1,010 tons, then in the northern, Dashoguz region 500 tons, in the Mary region 410 tons, Akhal 155 tons and the Balkans 25 tons.

The decree was signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who ordered the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection to conclude agreements with the administrations of the country’s regions for the production of silkworm cocoons and provide producers with the required amount of grain.
