The Women's Union of Turkmenistan received the CAREC Award for Promoting Gender Equality

The Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan won the competition announced by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) within the framework of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program.

In a solemn ceremony at the women's business forum in Tbilisi, the Women's Union of Turkmenistan was awarded a medal and a corresponding certificate for promoting gender equality, TDH reports.

The competition was held in several stages. It was attended by relevant organizations from 10 countries in the region, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Pakistan and Mongolia.

The Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan was awarded for its excellent results in promoting gender equality and equal rights in society.
