The world biggest plane lands in Mary International Airport

AN225 Mriya” (Antonov Air Transport Wing, Ukraine) made technical landing for fuelling in Mary International Airport on September 1. As is known, this cargo jet aircraft designed by O. Antonov Construction Bureau is the biggest in the world. It holds the number of world records including absolute payload carrying capacity record of 253.8 tons.

Today, the transport segment is among defining directions of sustainable development making direct effect on stability and balance of the world economic relations and becomes important factor of global geo economy, which is to add new meaning and strong creative impulse.

Therefore, the appropriateness and requirement of constructive proposals of the Head of Turkmenistan, which received the support and recognition of international community, is obvious and indicated by relevant Resolutions unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.

Important role in successful implementation of integrated programmes and plans in this direction is given to national civil aviation, which have received new stimulus in its development recently.For example, the opening of new Ashgabat International Airport has been held with the participation of the Head of the State in September 2016.

The infrastructure of the branch also includes international airports of Turkmenbashy, Mary and Turkmenabat, Dashoguz Airport, which became an integral links of national transport and logistic system together with Ashgabat International Airport.

Owing to the modernization of the runway and provision of advanced radio navigation equipment, the airport of administration centre of Mary Velayat significantly imporved its potential.It was allows the airport receiving high capacity cargo aircrafts like AN 225 Mriya, which is the biggest and heaviest car aircraft, which have ever taken off, and AN 124 Ruslan, new Turkmenabat Airport, which was opened in February this year, also meets all necessary modern requirements.

Transport policy of our country has systematic and long-term character stipulating the modernization of motor roads and construction of new modern high-speed roads, profile engineering and technical facilities like railway and automobile bridges, flyover intersections, etc.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays special attention to the development of maritime fleet. In this case, opening of Turkmenbashy International Seaport is remarkable event. Its advanced infrastructure allows satisfying growing demand on port services by quality proposals and high-class service.

Continuing the subject of the partnership in transport, such components as ecological, social and humanitarian spheres have to be mentioned. With regards to the first aspect, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlights that this is our common objective to combine real economic interests and realities of international cooperation with the necessity of protection of ecological balance.

Speaking of the second component, cooperation and realization of the projects in this direction cause the creation of new working places and construction on social facilities together with the growth of cargo turnover volume, investments and other benefits.

The third, creation of new better transport routes gives additional opportunities for improvement of mobility of people and satisfaction of their intents to visit other countries. In its turn, it promotes the opening of new tourist routes, establishment of contacts between people, which support rapprochement and understanding between the nations.
