The world's first virtual school will open in Japan, which will issue real high school diplomas. The educational institution will be located in the metaverse and will be accessible to students from anywhere in the world. Ferra.ru reports this with reference to automaton-media.com.

The school will be created by the Japanese company Aominext, which develops VR headsets and metaverses, and the private school Yushi International High School.

Students at a school in the metaverse will be able to use 3D anime-style avatars. Lessons will be conducted according to a program approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.

Students will be provided with free VR equipment necessary to attend classes.
