The Year of Culture of Turkmenistan was solemnly opened in Beijing

The opening ceremony of the Year of Culture of Turkmenistan was held in China. The event was held in Beijing. The opening ceremony was held at the Tian Jiao Theater, where an exhibition of national treasures from the funds of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan was also presented.

As the “Turkmenistan” newspaper reports, the exhibition, which included decorative and applied arts, ancient costumes, jewelry and famous Turkmen carpets, aroused great interest among those present. Particularly impressive were the ancient silver ornaments and jewelry, including jewelry for Ahal-Teke horses.

Within the framework of the event, a creative meeting of scientists and cultural figures from both countries was held, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the poet Magtymguly Fragi.

Participants noted the significance of the opening of the cultural and park complex “Magtymguly Fragi” in Ashgabat and the installation of a statue of the Chinese poet Du Fu there, which symbolizes the strengthening of humanitarian ties between the countries.

Ahal-Teke horses were also discussed at the meeting, and Chinese horse breeder Yang Weiqing, CEO of the “Shandong Zhongqing Happiness Centennial Investment” group of companies, was presented with a membership card of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Association.

The event ended with a concert of masters of culture and art from Turkmenistan and China, before which representatives of both countries expressed gratitude to the leaders for organizing a forum that would help strengthen spiritual ties between peoples.
