During the current year 18, 3 thousand hectares of land are planned to be sown under this agricultural crop in two rice-growing regions of Turkmenistan. From this area it is planned to gather 82 thousand 400 tons of grain.
From them Dashoguz region where rice paddies will occupy 8, 1 thousand hectares, should provide 35 thousand tons of rice, and Lebap province where 10,2 thousand hectares of land under rice , 47 thousand 400 tons.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Protection of Turkmenistan will conclude contracts with producers of rice for this purpose.
