Tourism Malaysia to Hold First Seminar for Turkmen Tourism Sector

Tourism Malaysia, the Malaysian tourism promotion board responsible for promoting the country as an international tourism destination, together with the Embassy of Malaysia in Turkmenistan, will organize a specialized seminar for representatives of Turkmenistan’s tourism industry for the first time.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the event will take place on July 14, 2026, at the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat. The seminar will mark the first official step by the Malaysian tourism authority to promote Malaysia as a tourism destination in the Turkmen market.

During the meeting, representatives of the tourism sector will have an opportunity to learn about Malaysia’s tourism opportunities, including current tourism products, promising travel routes and new possibilities for air connectivity between the two countries.

Participants will also be presented with Tourism Malaysia’s strategic plans to develop tourism cooperation with Central Asian countries, including further engagement with representatives of Turkmenistan’s tourism industry.
