Trade Between Turkmenistan and China Jumps 10.1% in Jan-Feb 2023

The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China amounted to more than $1.73 billion in January-February of 2023, a 10.1 percent year-on-year jump, according to the data issued by General Administration of Customs of China.

In February 2023 alone, the mutual trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $786.8 million.

Turkmen exports accounted for most of the trade turnover.In the past two months, Turkmenistan exported more than $1.61 billion worth of products to China, a year-on-year increase of 11 percent.

During the same period, Turkmenistan imported more than $40.17 million worth of Chinese goods, which is 1.6 percent decrease compared to the same period of last year.

The major component of Turkmenistan's exports to China is natural gas delivered through pipelines.
