Trades in Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Cotton Yarn, Polyethylene, Handmade carpets

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday and Wednesday trades registered deals on the purchase of raw cotton yarn, polyethylene and handmade carpets.

During the Monday trades, the company from the UAE purchased 80 thousand kilograms of raw cotton yarn for $192 thousand, while another Emirati company procured 120 thousand kilograms of the raw cotton yarn for 3.6 million manats, the SCRMET announced in its press releases.

A total of 30 deals for the procurement of products for the domestic market were registered during the Wednesday trades. Turkmen businesses purchased a total of 2.5 thousand tons of high-density polyethylene grade T60-475-119. The total amount of transactions on this product amounted to 47.5 million manats.

The local businesses also procured Turkmen handmade carpets for a total of 149.7 thosuand manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $24.4 million.
