Trades in Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Portland Cement, HDPE, Sulphur

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) registered two deals on Tuesday.

The Kyrgyz business made a deal worth $12 thousand for the purchase of 300 tons of Portland cement 500-G20-K, produced by enterprise of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, the SCRMET announced on Thursday.

For the domestic market, the Turkmen company purchased 300 tons of high-density polyethylene T60-475-119 of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern for 5.4 million manats.

On Monday, the SCRMET registered four deals for more than 150 million manats.The exchange said for the first time the Turkmen businesses purchased granulated technical sulfur of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern through the SCRMET.

They bought 20,000 tons of it for 150 million manats (7,500 manats per ton).The Turkmen entrepreneurs also purchased hand-made carpets for 45.3 thousand manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $48.86 million.
