Trucks will be banned from entering the capital of Azerbaijan during daylight hours

Baku will restrict the entry of trucks into the streets of the city at certain hours, reports sputniknews.ru.

At the numerous requests of the residents of the Azerbaijani capital and in order to eliminate congestion on city roads, from 7 am to 10 pm, trucks with a carrying capacity of more than eight tons are prohibited from entering Baku, except for special-purpose vehicles, including emergency and rescue services.

For fuel trucks, entry to the streets of the capital is prohibited from 6 am until midnight. According to the State Traffic Police of Azerbaijan, the new rules will come into force on October 27.

According to the developers of this measure, this will help optimize the situation on Baku roads, increase their capacity and generally improve road safety.

Legal entities and individuals involved in cargo transportation are recommended to make changes to their schedule in accordance with the new standards.
