Trump appeared in public for the first time since the assassination attempt

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, made his first public appearance since the recent assassination attempt. He addressed delegates at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee with a bandaged ear, the Washington Post reported.

Trump took the stage to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” which includes the iconic line “I thank my lucky stars that I’m alive today.”

Delegates greeted Trump with a standing ovation, chanting: “Fight! Fight! Fight!” - repeating the word that he shouted immediately after the assassination attempt. The politician greeted the crowd with a raised fist and expressed gratitude to them.

Let us remind you that the assassination attempt on Trump occurred on July 13. A Pennsylvania man fired eight shots at a politician during a rally. One of the bullets grazed Trump’s right ear. As a result of the incident, one spectator was killed and two were injured. The attacker was killed by the Secret Service.
