Türkmendeňizderýaýollary Transported More Than 2.28 Million Tonnes of Freight

The total volume of cargo transportation for January-September 2023 of the agency Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Sea Routes) amounted to 2 million 287.7 thousand tons, increasing by 119.9 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2022, the press service of the agency reports.

The agency's cargo transport plan for the corresponding period was fulfilled by 122.3 percent in general, according to the report.

The report stated that cargo turnover for January-September 2023 was 709.741 million tonne-kilometres, increasing by 121.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

In addition, passenger turnover during the period stood at 128.2 million passenger-kilometres, an increase of 106.9 percent over the same period last year.

Moreover, 19 thousand 28 cars were transported on Ro-Pax car and passenger ferries in the first nine months of 2023.
