On 8 August the President of Turkmenistan signed a resolution to authorize the Ashgabat khyakim to conclude a contract with the Turkish company Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. to build a hotel “Garagum” and a business centre.
The hotel is scheduled to be built at the intersection of A.Niyazov avenue and Khawaja Ahmed Yasawi street.
The state information agency TDH reports that pursuant to the document construction works are envisaged to be launched in September 2018 and the construction object is scheduled to be commissioned in February 2021.
Over the past year President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov has met with the Chairman of the Board of Rönesans Holding Erman Ilicak twice.
In January 2018 the head of the state familiarized himself with the hotel design and made some amendments in the project.
The hotel design was registered with a patent issued by the State Intellectual Property Service with a view of protecting copyright of architectural works.
Rönesans is also involved in building the petrol production facility based on natural gas in Akhal velayat.
