Turkish Companies Ready For Cooperation on Caspian Hydrocarbons Cavusoglu

Turkish companies are ready for cooperation in development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told Turkish news channel TRT Habar on Wednesday.

In the interview on results of his visits to Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Cavusoglu highly appreciated the agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on joint development of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea.

Turkish FM added that the parties were informed about the intention of Turkish companies to cooperate in this direction.

"One of the critical issues here is delivering oil and gas to Turkey via existing pipelines," Cavusoglu stressed. “There is an opportunity for cooperation in every sense.”

On March 5-9, Cavusoglu visited Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The Foreign Minister said the visits to both countries were beneficial.

During a meeting with Cavusoglu on Saturday, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Ashgabat will host the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey summit this year to discuss intensification of relations between the countries.
