Turkmen Ambassador Meets With Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan

On November 14, 2025, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan G.Elyasov and the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev.

During the meeting, the sides held a thorough exchange of views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The parties emphasized the importance of further developing successfully established cooperation in all areas, as well as the significance of maintaining a close dialogue at the highest level.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations are based on ancient friendship and brotherhood, common spiritual and cultural values, principles of peacefulness, mutual respect, and humanism. From this perspective, it was emphasized that there are broad possibilities for further strengthening cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The sides also noted that the continuation of harmonious and mutually beneficial cooperation within international organizations fully corresponds to the common interests of both states. At the same time, they reaffirmed the strategic nature of bilateral relations and their mutual interest in further enhancing them.
