Turkmen Ambassador Presents Credentials to Grand Duke of Luxembourg

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov presented his credentials to the Grand Duke of Luxembourg Henri on Wednesday, Turkmen embassy in Belgium informed.

Ambassador Sapar Palvanov conveyed greetings to the Grand Duke from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and expressed the interest of Turkmen government to further strengthen bilateral ties in all possible directions.

During the meeting, the sides discussed aspects of economic cooperation and regional security.

The Turkmen Ambassador and the Duke of Luxembourg stressed the need to establish a systematic dialogue between the business communities of the two countries.

Ambassador Palvanov stated that the countries have great potential to take bilateral political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian relations to a new level.

The Grand Duke Henri also welcomed Turkmenistan's policy aimed at supporting common efforts to fight climate change, as well as the reduction of methane emissions.

The Ambassador emphasized that, as an energy power, Turkmenistan does not stay away from the general efforts to combat climate change, but instead takes the necessary steps, as demonstrated by the practical implementation of national climate change plans.
