Turkmen Aýdyň Gijeler to Open Production Facility in Uzbekistan

Turkmen company Aýdyň Gijeler will establish a new production facility in Uzbekistan. Following a meeting between the company’s management and the khokim (mayor) of Tashkent a corresponding cooperation memorandum was signed, Aýdyň Gijeler reported on Monday.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of industrial cooperation and the implementation of joint infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan. A 4-hectare land plot has been allocated to the company for the implementation of the project.

The new facility will focus on producing goods for major transport and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan. In particular, the plant will manufacture road barriers, road signs, lighting poles, and other products for the under-construction TashkentSamarkand highway.

According to the report, the project will contribute to strengthening economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, creating new jobs, introducing modern technologies and developing the region’s transport infrastructure.

At the end of May, Aýdyň Gijeler also announced the launch of a production project in the Kingdom of Eswatini, for which the company was allocated a 4-hectare land plot.
