Turkmen Company Grows Over Thousand Tons of Tomatoes Annually

Altyn Gala Gurluşyk annually grows over a thousand tons of tomatoes in its two greenhouses, each with an area of five hectares, Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet reported on Friday.

The greenhouses located in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz velayat are equipped with modern specialized machinery from leading European manufacturers. The modern machinery automatically maintains optimal conditions for growing the crops.

The equipment fully ensures compliance with the required temperature and light conditions, humidity and the process of soil enrichment with nutrients. All technological processes are controlled by a computer program.

The greenhouse producer grows Dutch tomato varieties, distinguished with high yield, disease resistance, high shelf life and the ability to maintain a hard shin for a long time, which makes them suitable for long-distance transportation, according to the report.

Altyn Gala Gurluşyk was one of the first private companies in the Dashoguz velayat to start supplying its products to the foreign market. Several tens of hectares of land were allocated to the enterprise for the cultivation of crops. The company plans to gradually build new greenhouses on the allotted land plots.
