Turkmen Company Releases 15 Tons of Freshwater Fish Fry

Specialists from the private enterprise Ak Durna released 15 tons of freshwater fish fry into a pond in the Gorogly district this fall.Primarily consisting of young carp, silver carp, and grass carp, the fry were raised in the company’s state-of-the-art incubators.

Now, they will continue to grow in a controlled environment under regular supervision, according to official Turkmen media on Monday.

Specializing in commercial fishing, Ak Durna also cultivates fish for market sale. The company boasts comprehensive infrastructure, including five modern incubators, eight tanks, and two pond farms located in Shavat and Gorogly districts. The enterprise aims to produce at least 20 tons of carp fish annually for commercial purposes.

Ak Durna experts diligently monitor oxygen levels, provide feeding, conduct infection and disease prevention, and treat ponds against waterlogging and silt buildup. Additionally, since privatizing the former state-owned Dashoguzbalyk fishery, the enterprise has acquired ample specialized equipment for industrial fishing, including 29 motorboats.
