Turkmen Company Starts Production of New Types of Ballpoint Pens

Gündogar Şöhlesi Economic Society, located in Ak Bugday etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat, has launched the production of new types of ballpoint pens that are rodless, the country’s official media reported on Saturday with reference to the founder of the enterprise Kakaly Geldiyev.

In the manufacture of non-refill pens, ink is poured directly into the body on which the nib is fitted. This body and cap are made of polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

Kakaly Geldiyev noted that the technology, equipment and components were purchased from Indian manufacturers at an exhibition in Mumbai, and high quality ink was purchased from Germany.

The company presently produces three types of ballpoint pens with round, hexagonal and triangular cases. The pens will be sold in four colors red, blue, green and black.

Gündogar Şöhlesi, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Turkmenistan (UIET), is capable of producing about 2 million products per month, which will allow products not only to be sold on the domestic market, but also to be exported to neighboring countries.
