The Turkmen company Altyn won the tender for the construction of the main mosque located in the city of Arkadag, the country’s official media reported on Sunday.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh made a working visit to the city of Arkadag, accessed the progress of construction works of the mosque to be built in the center of Ahal province.
Deryageldi Orazov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the new city of the Ahal province, and Shamukhammet Durdyliyev, the Mayor of the new city, briefed the Halk Maslakhaty Chairman on the technical characteristics of the mosque, its height, area, color scheme, as well as the upcoming work on the improvement of the territory.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the plans and drawings related to the construction of the mosque, and stressed the relevance of building an educational institution, a madrassa, next to the mosque.
The Halk Maslakhaty Chairman consulted with respected elders and specialists on the day of starting the construction of the main mosque in the province and gave his advise on conducting Sadaqah.
Concluding his working visit to the city of Arkadag, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, "The state is for the people!" He added that the slogan is the basis of the vital state policy and the large-scale reforms that are underway, and wished the management of the citys construction success in the implementation of large-scale works.
