Turkmen culture was presented at the All-Russian rural Sabantuy in the Astrakhan region

In the Astrakhan Region, in the village of Tri Protoka, Privolzhsky District, Astrakhan Region, the XIII All-Russian Rural Sabantuy took place. On the territory of the ethnovillage that opened here, one could get acquainted with the cultures of different peoples. On the territory of the Turkmen farmstead, 3 yurts decorated with national patterns were installed.

The festive atmosphere of the event was emphasized by folk music and dance and "Kushtdepdi" performed by Turkmen students studying in the universities of Astrakhan.In the yurts, guests could get acquainted with book and art exhibitions, as well as customs, culture and traditions of the Turkmen people.

Bagshy spoke about national instruments, an integral part of the original and rich musical culture of Turkmenistan.

According to the press service of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, Turkmen cuisine has become another distinctive feature of the Turkmen island.

It should be noted that the event, at the invitation of the Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, was attended by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Consul of Turkmenistan in Russia Nury Golliev, Governor of the Perm Territory of the Russian Federation, Consul General of Kazakhstan, a representative of the Consulate General of Iran, as well as guests from other regions of Russia.
