The Turkmen delegation held a meeting with the leadership of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council on Monday, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
The gathering included the participation of Mered Orazov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States; Ambassador Atayev, the head of the Americas Desk of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan; Eric Stewart, the executive director of the Council; along with representatives from prominent American companies such as John Deere, Case New Holland, Boeing, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Climate Compass, Zeppelin, UGT Renewable, Caterpillar, Oxbow, Honeywell, and Palo Alto Networks.
The meeting underscored the importance of diversifying the economic partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States, with a focus on investment, finance, banking, agriculture, oil and gas, transportation, logistics, and technology. Discussions also revolved around the organization of a visit by a representative American business delegation to Turkmenistan later in the current year.
Eric Stewart highlighted the elevation of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the United States to a new level. Turkmenistan's commitment to reducing methane emissions on the international stage last year was positively received in the American business community.
The Turkmen side expressed interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation with American companies, recognizing their enduring positive contributions across various sectors of the Turkmen economy.
The leadership of the Business Council and representatives of American companies expressed satisfaction with the regular and productive dialogue, along with presenting proposals for new areas of cooperation.
The Turkmenistan-USA Business Council conducted its annual business mission in Ashgabat from December 5 to 7, 2023.
