On February 17-18, Minister of Industry and Construction Operations, Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Republic of Tatarstan in frames of a working visit to the Russian Federation.During the visit, the Minister of Industry and Construction Operations had a meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The sides exchanged views on the aspects of widening bilateral cooperation, including in the spheres of construction and industry.During the meeting, it was underlined that the constructive dialogue with the Russian Federation and its constituent unit was a priority of the foreign-policy strategy of Turkmenistan.
The delegation of Turkmenistan as well as the representatives of ministries and large enterprises of Tatarstan took part in the round-table meeting.Moreover, the delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited large industrial, research and development enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the course of negotiations with the heads of relevant ministries and leading construction and industrial companies of Tatarstan, the key vectors of diversification of cooperation, the aspects of introduction of advanced technologies, industrial modernization and digitalization of the economy were discussed.
A number of bilateral documents with major scientific and construction companies of Tatarstan were signed on the outcomes of the visit of Minister of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Tatarstan.
The high potential for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan exists in such areas as oil exploration, oil production, gas transportation, automobile manufacturing, aircraft engineering and shipbuilding, energy, supply of chemical products, pharmaceuticals, medicine, construction, agro-industrial complex, information technology.
Currently, Turkmenistan has established productive business contacts with the enterprises of Tatarstan, including KAMAZ PJSC, TATNEFT among others.
