Turkmen Delegation Visits Afghanistan to Review Joint Project Implementation

A Turkmen delegation, led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, visited Afghanistan to review the implementation of major energy, transport, and infrastructure projects involving both countries, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the delegation inspected the construction progress on key projects, including the SerhetabatHerat section, which represents a crucial stage in developing the TurkmenistanAfghanistanPakistanIndia (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline.

They also evaluated the advancements in building the fiber-optic communication line, the warehouse complex at the dry port of the Turgundi railway station, and the TurgundiSanabar section of the first phase of the TurgundiHerat railway.

These projects, initiated on September 11, 2024, with the participation of Turkmenistan’s National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, play a vital role in strengthening economic and transport connections between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
