Turkmen Entrepreneur Shasenem Garliyeva with her Iner Unique Camel Wool brand of camel wool products participates in Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) initiative event held in Alcova gallery space in Milan, from June 5th to June 12th.

This year, EFI focused on designers and artisans from Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Entrepreneur Shasenem Garliyeva told Business Turkmenistan on Thursday that under the initiative, Central Asian designers and artisans worked on The Kârvan Journey exhibition.

The EFI’s eight-month accelerator program supported the Central Asian designers to grow their businesses and access international markets.

The program aims to create a sustainable brand by working with local designers, as well as to present the culture and traditions of the designers’ homeland. The EU and UNESCO support EFI’s cultural activities.
