Turkmen diplomats took part in the UN regional meeting on tourism

Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Germany took part in the 70th meeting of the United Nations Regional Tourism Commission for Europe, which was held on April 89 in Tirana, Albania, the Turkmen diplomatic mission reports in a press release.

The event was also attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Albania Edi Rama, ministers of tourism, ambassadors and representatives of the commission member countries.

During the meeting, participants made reports highlighting the activities of the Commission within the framework of the work programs. The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Albania and the Secretary General of UNWTO made keynote speeches defining key areas of activity in the field of tourism development at the regional and global levels.

Turkmenistan, as a full member of the organization, is actively developing cooperation with the Secretariat of the United Nations Regional Tourism Commission for Europe, confirming its interest in assisting in the development of international tourism and strengthening interaction in this area.
