Complex of equipment for making of several products like iodine, caustic soda and chlorine was put into operation in Bereket etrap, Balkan Velayat next to Danata settlement.The facility was built by the member of the UIET, Chimiya Senagat business entity at Western Chaalaja where the deposit of underground mineral water has been discovered.
Big concentration of iodine in natural saline solutions is 200 grams per cubic meter.Initial raw material is supplied to technology line from the wells, which were drilled by specialists of Mary Hydro Geological Expedition.
Using latest technologies, chemically active mineral is produced from saline solutions by air absorbing method.The project of the facility was developed by the order of entrepreneurs by scientific and production association “Yodobrom” (Russian Federation).
Production capacity of the first line of the facility allows producing up to 160 180 tons of iodine per year.Specialists of business entity developed business plan for significant expansion of production of valuable mineral in Western Chaalaja by the construction of the second line of the facility with similar production output.
In next three years, it is planned to increase the production of iodine up to 500 tons.Chimiya Senagat builds production facility in the area of Okarem on Caspian Coast, which will use the method of extraction of iodine from produced water used for hydrocarbons production.
After extraction of iodine, the water will be kept in the ponds, which lately will be used for extraction of other chemical elements as well as for pumping to oil horizons for keeping of pressure.
For the first time in Bereket etrap, Turkmen specialists organized the production of caustic soda and chlorine the reagents, which are used in many production as well as for purification and disinfection of drinking water.
Technological equipment for production of chemically active substances has been installed next to Danata settlement where iodine production is expanded.The installation made by specialists from Saint Petersburg produce up to 1.5 tons of caustic soda and 100 kg of chlorine per day.
The production of Guwlyduz facility treated technical salt is used as a raw material for production of high quality reagents.New production facilities opened by entrepreneurs will not only provide the import substitution of production required by many branches but will also create dozens of working places.
