Turkmen Foreign Minister Pays Tribute to Ayatollah Khamenei

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov visited the Embassy of Iran in Ashgabat on March 4 and signed a book of condolences opened in memory of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, according to official Turkmen media.

During the visit, Meredov met with Iran’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, and expressed condolences over the loss.

The book of condolences has been opened not only at the embassy but also at the Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat. It will be available for visitors starting March 4 for 1015 days.

Earlier, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people of Turkmenistan, sent condolences to Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Iranian people over the passing of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
