Turkmen Interior Minister Participates in Central AsiaChina Meeting

Muhammet Hydyrov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, participated in the second meeting of heads of relevant agencies in the “Central AsiaChina” format held in Astana under the chairmanship of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Representatives from China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan also took part in the meeting, the press service of the President of Kazakhstan reported on Monday.

During the talks, the sides discussed regional security issues. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Central Asian countries and China.

Another topic of the meeting was the security of transport and logistics routes, including the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, whose importance is increasing amid the transformation of global trade chains.

Participants confirmed their readiness to expand practical cooperation, develop professional contacts and introduce modern technologies into law enforcement activities.
