Turkmen judoka entered the top five at the Grand Prix stage in Portugal

On Friday, the second competitive day of the Grand Prix stage in Portugal in judo was held in Almada.

According to the International Judo Federation, in the weight category up to 66 kilograms, Serdar Rahimov from Turkmenistan lost in the semifinals to the future winner of the tournament Mukhriddin Tilolov from Uzbekistan.

On the way to the final, Rahimov scored four confident victories over athletes from Mongolia, Switzerland, Tajikistan and Brazil.

Unfortunately, Rahimov also failed in the bronze medal match, in which he lost to Moldavian Radu Izvorean and took the final fifth place.

This is the best result for an 18 years old Turkmen athlete at international tournaments under the auspices of the IJF
