Turkmen metrologists go to Fergana to participate in regional training

Representatives of the State Reference Center of the Main State Service “Turkmenstandartlary” are sent to Fergana to participate in the training “Cooperation between national metrological institutes and regional centers”.

This was reported by CentralAsia.news with reference to the words of the head of the department of Scientific-methodological, marketing and study of international practice of the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan Ayna Soyunova.

The training will be at the Fergana branch of the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology, and will be attended by representatives of quality infrastructure and metrology institutes of Central Asian countries.

The training is carried out within the framework of a meeting of international experts on the project of the Physicotechnical Institute of Germany (PTB) “Support and improvement of quality infrastructure in the countries of Central Asia”, which will be held in Fergana from October 10 to 13.

Central Asian metrologists will also get acquainted with the work of the calibration laboratories of UzNIM. Experts will discuss technical issues in metrology during the seminar, namely the distribution and transfer of artifacts (reference measuring instruments) participating in previously organized and ongoing interlaboratory comparisons in the field of glass thermometers, electronic multimeters and pH measurements.
