Batyr Amanow, who served as the deputy chairman of Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern, has been appointed director general of Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) by the decree of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Trend reports referring to the local Altyn Asyr TV channel.

The former director general of TCOR, Yazmyrat Muhammetmyradov, was dismissed by the head of state due to serious shortcomings in his work.

TCOR is leading the oil refining industry of Turkmenistan. Today, the complex accounts for up to a quarter of the volume of industrial production produced in the country.

TCOR produces unleaded gasoline, aviation and technical kerosene, jet and diesel fuel, fuel oil, lubricating oils, polypropylene, heating oil, light gas oil, petroleum electrode coke, liquefied gas, construction, road bitumen and other petrochemical products, which form the basis of the country's export potential.

Its products are shipped from land and sea terminals, the modernization of which is carried out in accordance with modern-day requirements.
