Turkmen President Congratulates Lula on Brazil Presidential Election Victory

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent congratulations to Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on his victory in the presidential elections of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the official Turkmen media reported on Monday.

The Head of Turkmenistan expressed to Lula da Silva his wishes of good health, happiness and success in responsible state activity, and to the people of Brazil peace, progress and prosperity.

Lula da Silva garnered 50.9 percent of the votes in the second round of the Brazil presidential elections. The voter turnout was more than 79 percent for both of the rounds.

He will become Brazil's 39th President on Jan. 1, 2023. He previously served as the country’s 35th President from 2003 to 2010.
