President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election as Prime Minister of Pakistan, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.
In the message, President Berdimuhamedov, noting the distinctive closeness of the long-standing multilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, expressed confidence that these relations, which are based on the rich experience of friendship, brotherhood and mutual respect, will continue to develop for the benefit of the countries’ peoples.
The Turkmen President wished the new Prime Minister of Pakistan good health and success in all endeavors and deeds aimed at the progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.
On Tuesday, the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) party Shehbaz Sharif took the oath of office and assumed the duties of the Head of Government.
