Turkmen President Congratulates Turkmen People on 78th Victory Anniversary

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent his best greetings to the Turkmen people on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the official media reported on Monday.

"I am convinced that the cultural and mass celebrations to mark this triumphant victory of peace, friendship, and goodwill will worthily express our high reverence for the heroic path of our ancestors and increase pride in the independent neutral Turkmen state!" - the President Berdimuhamedov said in his congratulatory message.

"We will never forget the feat of arms and the exceptional heroism of our valiant countrymen who selflessly fought and worked tirelessly during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," said the President of Turkmenistan.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree last Wednesday on presenting war veterans with valuable gifts on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The President of Turkmenistan also sent congratulatory letters to the Presidents of Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus, Prime Minister of Russia, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory.
