Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes Fallen in the Struggle for Georgia’s Unity on Friday during his state visit to Georgia, according to 1tv.ge
Members of the Turkmen delegation attended the ceremony alongside Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, who also paid tribute to the fallen heroes.
Later on Friday, Berdimuhamedov is scheduled to hold one-on-one talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. The two sides will then meet in an expanded format to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation.
President of Turkmenistan arrived in Georgia on Thursday for a two-day state visit.
