President of Turkmenistan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the military rank of Army General, the Head of the Turkmen parliament Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova signed the Resolution on Thursday.
The relevant resolution of the Mejlis Head was published by the country’s official press on Friday.
Annually on January 27, Turkmenistan celebrates the Defenders of the Fatherland Day on the occasion of the founding of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his congratulatory message to the servicemen and employees of military and law enforcement bodies of Turkmenistan on the Defenders of the Fatherland Day, wished them “good health, long life, happiness, prosperity and great success in the sacred and responsible service!”
The Armed Forces of Turkmenistan was founded on January 27, 1992.
