Turkmen President to Visit Turkiye

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will visit the Republic of Turkiye on October 25-26, 2023.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the planned official visit of the head of state to Turkiye during an online government meeting on Friday, Turkmenistan's official media reported on Saturday.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has highlighted Turkiye's significance as one of Turkmenistan's key partners. The president emphasised that the foundation for bilateral cooperation between the two countries is built upon numerous interstate, intergovernmental, and interdepartmental agreements signed in recent years.

In this regard, the head of Turkmenistan instructed to ensure a high level of organisation in preparation for the upcoming visit, which is designed to strengthen all aspects of the development of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Turkiye based on the historical connection of brotherly peoples of both countries.

The government meeting reviewed drafts of several documents and discussed the socio-economic development tasks of the country and some other related matters.
