Referees from Turkmenistan are invited to officiate at the matches of the Central Asian Football Association championship among youth teams under 17 years old, which will be held from August 17 to 24 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
FIFA referee Arslan Goshshanov will work at the CAFA-2024 (U-17) tournament, and Charymurad Kurbanov has been invited as an inspector.
Six teams from the region will take part in the championship: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Afghanistan. All matches of the tournament will be held at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe.
In the group stage, teams will play in a round-robin format, after which the group winners will meet in the final, and the second-place teams will compete for third place. There will also be a repechage match for fifth-sixth places.
Let us remind you that according to the results of the draw, the Turkmenistan team found itself in group “B”, where their opponents will be the national teams of Uzbekistan (August 17) and Iran (August 19).
