Turkmen-Russian school in Ashgabat received a gift from the Astrakhan governor

The Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Vladimir Golovkov, donated books by Russian and Soviet classics, as well as modern authors, to the school named after A. S. Pushkin in Ashgabat. The gift was presented on behalf of Governor Igor Babushkin.

The educational institution maintains close ties with the school named after Magtymguly Fragi in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. Schools hold joint activities such as competitions, quizzes and creative meetings.

In 2019, Governor Igor Babushkin took part in a teleconference in which schoolchildren from both schools participated. The guys from Funtov read the poems of Magtymguly Fragi, and their Ashgabat peers read the poems of Alexander Pushkin. Songs and national dances were also performed.

In April of this year, the governor visited a school in Ashgabat during the “Caspian Sea Sea of Friendship” motorbike and donated a webcam to the educational institution.

In the new academic year, both schools plan to hold a number of joint events in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the joint-stock company.
