Turkmen sambo wrestlers hold two victories at Asian Championship

Eleven medals two gold, three silver and six bronze, were won by Turkmen athletes during Asian Sport and Combat Sambo Championship in the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent.

Muminjan Arzikulov (weight category up to 62 kg) and Lyale Nuriyeva (up to 72 kg) won gold medals. Amina Niyazova (up to 44 kg), Tavus Geldimyradova (up to 56 kg) and Babajan Ivadullayev (up to 100 kg) became the vice champions.

Allanur Chariyev (up to 52 kg), Parahat Byashimov (up to 82 kg), Narmyrat Tannyrberdiyev (up to (0 kg), Rejepnur Agayev (up to 57 kg), Dovletmyrat Cheppeyev (up to 74 kg) and Myahri Akmyradova (up to 60 kg) won the bronze.

Sambo is included in the programme of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and current achievement of Turkmen wrestlers indicates their readiness for the main competitions of the year.
