Turkmen schoolchildren became winners of the International Mathematics Olympiad in Albania

Turkmen schoolchildren took part in the 27th International Balkan Junior Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO), which was held in the capital of the Republic of Albania - the city of Tirana.

According to the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan", following the results of the Olympiad, Begench Akmuradov and Maliksha Meylismuradov, high school students of the capital's specialized schools No. 49 and 86, became the owners of two silver medals.

Four bronze medals were awarded to students of Ashgabat specialized schools No. 49, 86 and 135 Soyunmuhammet Geldymammedov, Begli Ishanmuradov, Kumush Nobatova and Selim Hommatdurdyev.

The victory of the young Turkmen mathematicians at the same time confirmed the good command of the English language, in which the competition was held, the source notes.

The leaders of the national team of Turkmenistan were mathematics teachers: Arslan Hojiev from the Ashgabat Specialized Boarding School named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashy and Palvan Agamyradov from the Gujurly Educational Center.

The international competition was held for a week and brought together the best experts in mathematics from 20 countries of the world.
