Turkmen tennis player wins the opening match of the Asian Junior Championship

Ilima Huseynova from Turkmenistan started successfully at the Asian Tennis Championship among juniors under 14, which is being held for the first time in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh. In the first round of the ITF Asian Junior Championship, she defeated Indian rival Suryanshi Shekhawat.

24 leading tennis players from Asia and Oceania compete at the tournament. Ilima Huseynova trains at the Ashgabat Tennis Academy under the guidance of Mirali Hasanov and currently ranks 13th in the Asian ranking among juniors under 14 years old.

The Asian Championship will end on February 8th. The Turkmen athlete will continue to fight for the title.
