A boxing tournament was held in Ashgabat within the framework of the 13th Universiade. 94 athletes from 17 universities in the country entered the ring to challenge the title of champion in eight weight categories, reports “MIR 24”.
The fights were held in the arena of the “Taze Zaman” sports and recreation complex.At the end of the tournament, the main prize went to the team of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
Silver went to students of the State Institute of Architecture and Construction, and bronze was won by boxers from the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
