Turkmen volleyball players won gold medals at the CAVA 2026 Men’s and Women’s Universiade Games international tournament, which concluded in Uzbekistan.The competition, organised by the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA), was held in Samarkand with the participation of teams from higher education institutions in the region.
Turkmenistan was represented at this tournament by a team made up of talented students from local universities.The road to the championship culminated in a tense final match in which the Turkmen volleyball players met the Uzbekistan team.
In the decisive game for first place, our compatriots demonstrated high sportsmanship, tactical coordination, strong will, and team spirit.The match ended with a 3:1 victory for the Turkmenistan team, which allowed the team to climb to the top step of the podium.
This success of our student team strengthened the sporting authority of Turkmenistan in Central Asia.Relevant agencies and the sports community congratulate the student-athletes on the honorary title of champions of the CAVA-2026 Universiade.
