On April 16, an international conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in the gas sector was held in our capital, Ashgabat.Within its framework, a ceremony was held to sign a contract for the implementation of the IV stage of the "Galkynysh" gas field development on a turnkey basis.
This document was signed by Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" on behalf of Turkmenistan, and Du Yumin, Chairman of "CNPC Amudarya Petroleum Company Ltd" on behalf of China.
Earlier, we reported that in accordance with the relevant Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the State Concern "Turkmengas" was authorized to conclude a contract with the Chinese company "CNPC Amudarya Petroleum Company Ltd" for the design and turnkey construction of a facility for processing 10 billion cubic meters of commercial gas per year, as well as operational wells sufficient to provide that volume within the fourth phase of the "Galkynysh" gas field development.
For reference, a ceremony is being held today in the Yoloten district of Mary province with the participation of high-level officials from Turkmenistan and China to launch the fourth phase of the "Galkynysh" gas field development.
