Following the completion of bilateral talks between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar, a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of understanding was held between the State concern Türkmengaz and the State corporation Afghan Gas of Afghanistan.
This document opens a new page in bilateral cooperation in the gas sector.In accordance with the Memorandum, the parties agreed to work together to create specialised infrastructure in Herat province and supply industrial enterprises, power plants, and the population with Turkmen natural gas.
