Turkmenistan and Armenia discussed the possibility of holding the Days of Turkmen Culture in Yerevan

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Yerevan Muhammetgeldy Ayazov met with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan, reports the website of the Turkmen diplomatic department.

The parties discussed the holding of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia, the events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly, as well as the intensification of contacts between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

In addition, the diplomats touched upon a wide range of bilateral agendas and cooperation between the two friendly countries in international organizations.

Let us note that diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Armenia were established on October 9, 1992. In July 1994, an Armenian embassy opened in Ashgabat, and a Turkmen embassy in Yerevan opened on April 8, 1992.
